Mine notches.Most intriguing book I have read imagery long time. Stories of the old South have been my quest. ExcellentExcellently written.

Good theme, yet too predictable Good storyline. I loved the genre and theme. I loved the New Orleans setting of the novel and how the author painted a good picture of its culture. However, for this to be a novel that the author obsessed over there were many flaws in that kind of ruined it for me. There were mistakes in referencing characters and their relationships. I spent much time going back and forth to make sure I did not read something incorrectly. The dialogue at times seemed too forced,

InterestingI chose this because I like to check new authors out. This was a good novel full of interesting well developed characters.

Truth I liked that TJ did not try to cover up for a white person or a black person. My family is from or lives in Louisiana. I am almost white skinned and have been not liked by whites or blacks. I have always wondered how my family have such fair skin. TJs story is so real.
