3rd Degree (Women's Murder Club #3)
Note: there are probably some mistakes in here I'll correct once I am not so angry. That's it I am not going to bang my head anymore over this series. I was never a huge fan of this series in the first place. I picked it up because I wanted to read a crime novel with a female lead that wasn't the witness but instead the one taking things under her control. The mysteries in these books don't have much substance to them, they are almost along the lines of brain candy then anything else. I had
I must admit I was disappointed! While the story does have the same charm as the first 2, this one seemed more rushed, not so "in depth" and I feel Jill's whole "my husband hits me" story, was made, sorely for the purpose of thinking he was "the one" when she got killed. And I dont like that, as you dont get any hint at all in the first 2 books, that she is suffering at home (besides the whole "we are both very competitive people")Other things that seemed rushed too, was Cindy/Aaron, we heard so
This is my first James Patterson novel, and not the last. 3rd Degree is a fast moving story with interesting characters and, most importantly, a suspenseful story. His short chapters kept my interest where I didn't want to put the book down. I actually read the book in one day, i just couldnt put it down. One morning while Lt. Lindsay Boxer of the San Francisco Police Dept. was jogging with her dog she saw a house explode. Lt. Lindsay Boxer went into the burning house to see if anyone was in
I really enjoy this series especially since the main characters are female, which you don't find too often in crime novels. You don't have to be female to appreciate the great plot, strong characters and fantastic writing style Great book I Highly recommend it...
In this third offering in the Women's Murder Club series, "3rd Degree" starts off with a bang. Literally. Lt. Lindsay Boxer, SF Homicide Detective, is out jogging along, admiring a town house she sees on the street. And then it explodes right in front of her. After calling for help, she rushes in and finds two dead bodies...and a child, whom she rescues. What happens in the subsequent days will soon be declared a war of sorts. But who is at the hub of this activity? And who will be next on the
"3rd Degree" by James Patterson is the third book in the Women's Murder Club series. Having read the previous two I was looking forward to this one.Unfortunately I've ended up skipping chapters just so I didn't have to record it as unfinished. I found it very disappointing, the plot within the storyline was boring and the female characters just weren't the same - Claire especially just wasn't her normal bubbly strong self. I've read other readers reviews and it still seems to have a good

It's great to be able to read these Women Murder Club books in a row. I enjoy them for their pace and for having just enough content to hook me into the plot. Admittedly, the story-lines in these books aren't elaborately plotted, but they give the reader enough information to be interested. Same goes for the characterization; sometimes you wish the authors would delve a little deeper. Take Jill for instance, the ADA, and friend to Lindsay, Claire and Cindy; I wish I would have known a better. INote: there are probably some mistakes in here I'll correct once I am not so angry.
