I discovered Susan Lewis by buying two of her books in charity shops ( without realising it was the same author). The first that I read was Never Say Goodbye and, although at first I was a bit disapointed ( don't ask me why!) and thought " oh no, and I've bought another one of her books", I then got really attached to it and when I finished it, I was looking forward to read the other one ( Don't Let Me Go ). So, after a little book interruption, I came back to Susan Lewis and I got completely

I must admit I found it difficult to get into this novel - perhaps not helped by reading it in small bursts. The New Zealand setting made it seem an idyllic place to live, but I did not "take" to Charlotte and found the many characters introduced in the early chapters confusing and the oft repeated sentiments on Chloe's background (very understated at this point) began to get irritating. It took me until Charlotte's arrest and engrossing court case to become closely involved in the storyine, and

Again, very long but a great story. I recommend these if you enjoy Jodi Picoult books.
