I "met" Emma and Chris in Watch Your Back and when I discovered they had their own story, albeit a shorter one, I was on board immediately. Well...Hmmm.Let me start by saying I quite enjoyed it. This novella, unlike the rest of the suthor's carefully crafted suspenses, focuses on the love story - and it is so unrealistic as to be cringe-worthy.
3.5 StarsThere is a lot of story in this novella. I like the characters. The suspense is here but for some reason I couldn't get into it like I normally do with a Karen Rose novel. I'll revisit this book again. It is possible that I have too much going on in the real world that kept me from focusing.
True to Karen Rose form, it contains murder, suspense and a healthy dose of romance, despite being such a short story. A nice quick read on a rainy Sunday.
