Representaion Supposing Books Война и мир. Том 2 (War and Peace, 4 Volumes)

At the beginning of this second volume, nothing goes for the Emperor Alexander, tsar of all the Russias, because this nasty cockroach of Napoleon is trying to eat wool on his back...
Nothing goes for Prince André Bolkonski after his disappointments in love, he seemed to have found the taste for everything, he seems to have no taste for anything, except perhaps to quash his vengeance with the kidnapper of his beautiful...
Nothing goes well for Nicolas Rostov who after his youthful enthusiasm for the things of the army and the fight in the years 1805 and 1807, discovers with melancholy, in this year 1812, the reality behind the fronts of all that, and receive a medal; a medal for what? For almost killing a man? For breaking orders? For having very little bravery? Is this this military cross?...
Nothing is more right for Natasha Rostov; her future love seems broken, she does not know where she is, both in her feelings and her life...
Nothing goes more for Pierre Bézoukhov, who wades more than ever in the wandering, not knowing which ideology to devote ...
You see that Lev Tolstoy did well with his mayonnaise and, after a second book cradled by the auspices of peace, the Franco-Russian war of 1812 is in the three books (advanced French in Russian territory, Borodino and taken from Moscow ) and four (fire of Moscow and retreat of the French), the ideal canvas for the author wishing to unfold his theory on the insignificance of individual destinies when taken in the course of history (developed in the form of essay in the epilogue).
Tolstoy includes in this sense individual destinies as large as those of Napoleon or Alexander. According to him, it is the inextricable set of causes and effects combined that produce the story and not the individual decisions, whatever they may be.
The story passes, like a big steamroller, inexorable, and the individuals move on the surface of the roll, believing that the march of their destiny or the roller depends on them, and on them alone. (Incidentally, I strongly advise the little chapter of historical analysis of the Russian campaign that you will find in the first chapter of the second part of the third book, I know, it's a bit complicated as a denomination, but ultimately simpler it seems.)
A vision to which we can adhere or not, but in any case, a very distanced and interesting reading of history and historical events in general, not to mention a narration of the highest order, which is enough to make a sacred monster of world literature, that it is good to have read, at least once in his little life of reader driven by the flow of history. At least that's my opinion, so to speak, not much.

Assessment Regarding Books Война и мир. Том 2 (War and Peace, 4 Volumes)
At least volume 2 is entertainment, although Leo Tolstoy is kind of cruel to his characters, less so towards Bolkonsky. Poor Natasha. Well, lets see whats coming up next.

Wow. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Just the right mix of historical events and fiction.

This book is worth all the hype. I didn't care for all the philosophizing at the end and sometimes in between, but fully enjoyed the stories.

Long. Long. But books like this are famous for a reason. It was good.

This is the second volume of War and Peace! I think it took me a year to read both I & II wth a "few" other (lighter) novels in between. But I canhonestly say Iread War & Peace through to page 1444!

Enjoyed Volume 2 less than the first one, but it was still worthwhile. I really enjoyed the war parts, and there were quite few, if you dont count the drama of personal relationships. Its fascinating learning about the past, but you cant help but want to just shake these people a little. I guess, we cant deny the progress.

Great Book with nice intrigue, good portrait of noble private live and cool surpizes
