This is a great, fairly epic story. It is longer than most HRs, and the plot, settings and descriptions of characters and locations is far more detailed than most. It gives you a real taste for the period and the people, the cruelty and the struggles. It is set over a considerably longer timeframe than most HRs and this allows the relationship between the hero and heroine to develop at a more realistic pace, making their love and affection more credible.
