You fall in love with the girl next door but married her sister. Once again, Luanne Rice had captured my heart. I can rely to Rice whenever my nature-side's kicking and my love for romance is jumping. She's stringing words, simple, beautiful words, creating one amazing book. This book is about two people, childhood best friends. I have always find best friends falling in love a cute and touching story. After all those time, one of them maybe torn between her/his true feelings and preserving the

Wonderful story of growing up, community, family, first loves and what can be if only.... loved it.

Eventually, years later Zeb and Elizabeth divorce. Zeb and his 17 year old son Michael return to Hubbard's Point for a local wedding. Zeb realizes the

Friends since they were small, Rumor and Zeb are reunited, at their childhood home in Connecticut, after twenty years of being apart. They thought they were destined to be together, but since their separation, Zeb married Rumor's sister, Elizabeth, who is now a movie star. They had a child together named Michael. Also, during the interval, Zeb became a NASA astronaut, and Rumor a veterinarian. Relations between the three of them have been estranged. Can their love for each other and their home

I read this book with a bad taste in my mouth. All the while feeling sorry for Rumor and hating how forgiving she was. I kept waiting for the time of 'true blue redemption. But beware readers, as the novel sets up for this, it fails to deliver. What Zeb did was irredeemable, and so was his way of making amends, it was so weak. Elisabeth will be hated for all time, she doesn't have an inkling of decency and I really don't care about her. But what kind of epilogue was that? It seems the author was
