Ilustration To Books October Breezes (October Breezes #1)

Skye Williams knows everything there is to know about mistrust: Dad skipped out when she was five. And now Warren Jacobs tries to sweep her Mom off her feet. But Warren's not the only concern rocking Skye's world. Devin Abbott, a guy she's known since kindergarten, has changed. He's become a tall, broad-shouldered guy she might date-if he wasn't her best friend. Skye swears there's nothing between them, but everyone else thinks differently. Devin doesn't act the way he used to, especially when Kellin Morgan, senior quarterback, asks Skye out. Flattered, she accepts, and, Devin sulls up-and he isn't the only one. Kellin's best friend, Tyler Rutherford, gets bent out of shape, too, as he's always wanted Skye for himself. When Kellin and Skye attend one of Tyler's famous parties, neither senses the impending disaster that will change not only her life but also that of everyone who loves her.

Evaluate Of Books October Breezes (October Breezes #1)
It was so hard for me to read this book. I don't want to spoil October Breezes for those who consider reading it but you need to know there are some heavy themes in this book like rape, abortion, extreme bullying in school and a suicide attempt. This is really good book, but it isn't the kind of book I would ever say I "enjoyed", because its an extremely sad story. I didn't like the story, but there was a very loud message being said through the story, and the message is a good one. Throughout

This book is amazing. Its an extremely powerful, emotional and heartbreaking story. The author handled three very sensitive issues with great, well, sensitivity, which marks her as an excellent author.I absolutely loved the characters especially Jimmy and Warren, they were a great supporting characters. Its something I would let my daughter read when she's old enough. This can be used as good teaching tool for parents and young women.

What to say? This book certainly had some subject matter that will definitely touch a nerve with readers. I don't want to give away the story so I'll try to make this as spoiler free as I can. I started out the book not minding Skye. She was obnoxious as some teenagers are but at first I could understand her fears with Warren dating her Mom since her read Dad left when she was younger. Once I got into the story I found myself wanting to slap her for being so stubborn, but at the same time I

Link: https://holedupinabook.blogspot.com/2...This series was one of those where I have extremely mixed feelings about. Mainly because I found the books to be pretty much a pity party for Skye and extremely desperate from Devin yet at the same time, somewhat romantic because of the sheer amount of patience that Devin exuded. If it wasnt for that, I would have given up this book a long time ago.The first thing that irked me about the book was Skye because she was so oblivious to everything around

I started this book yesterday and after reading half of it i couldn't sleep. I just kept thinking about Skye and everything she went through. I can't say i enjoyed this book. I was just sad throughout the whole thing and that's why i gave it 5 stars because it made me feel so much for the characters, even Skye who at first i thought was naive in the beginning but as the story progressed i felt like i was able to see things through her eyes and it was painful. Hooley touches on a lot of issues

Sometimes nothing is as it seems. That's what I rememberthinking last October--six months that might as well have been alifetime ago. That was before I lost my best friend. after starting out my reading with these words , my thoughts were like .. if this book has the superhero-cute-best friend-death in this book then I'M SO GONNA HATE IT it turns out i was wrong..October Breeze by Maria Rachel Hooley turns out to be a really strong book , much stronger and powerful than i had expected .We come
