Butterfly Summer
What an incredible book! It was similar to Cecelia Ahern's The Book of Tomorrow in the untold secret, unusual behaviours from people in Oakbridge and wow.. what a suspenseful ending. If you enjoyed this book, another similar one is Forget Me Not by Isabel Wolffe. I loved this from beginning to end and I hope if you're thinking about reading this, please do. You won't regret it! 5 stars all the way. This story has emotional depth, likable characters and it's one I couldn't put down.
Sort of worked the ending out, but really enjoyed reading it. Kept you captured with lovely descriptions, putting lovely images in to your mind. Quite a charming with a little sadness story. Felt contented with the ending.
The magical moment as I bought this book at the store was definitely NOT a mistake! This was the first book I read by Anne-Marie Conway and it wasn't the last!!! This book was outstanding and not only did I never want the story to end I re-read this so many times I can't even count! When Becky wants to find out about her past, maybe it's not all she really wants it to be. Rosa May has a haunting feel about her and... IT IS SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!!!😱😱😱
i thought it was going to be a good read however it was not. this book was too predictable (right from the moment the protagonist met Rosa May everything had become clear), it was a drag to read, the age of the protagonist (only in year 7) did not fit well with the storyline even though it is a YA read.
I couldnt finish this book. It isnt made clear from the description, but its a childs book, and not a good one at that. Its overly simplistic and the characters are one dimensional and not at all believable. I felt like I was reading something that would have bored me when I was 8, not for me.

Description In Pursuance Of Books Butterfly Summer
Some secrets last a lifetime. When Becky and her mum move to the tiny village of Oakbridge, Mum is hoping for a new beginning. But when Becky discovers an old photo of her mum in hospital clutching a baby, twelve years before Becky was born, Becky becomes haunted by the thought that her mum is keeping something from her. Stifled by her mum's over-protectiveness and depressive moods, Becky feels more alone than ever. The only place she finds comfort is at the beautiful local Butterfly Garden with her new friend, the wild-spirited and impulsive Rosa May. But Becky can't shake off the unanswered questions. Why can't she swim? Where is her dad? Who is the baby in the photo? And why is her mum lying to her? As the two girls spend more time together however, Rosa May's unpredictable temper and possessive streak suggests that she is hiding something as well...and in the heat of the sun-drenched summer, it seems that Becky is the only one in the dark.Present Books Supposing Butterfly Summer
