Chistes malísimos que son buenos. Referencias a la alta y baja cultura. Basura y más basura. Arte y más arte. Siempre imitado, jamás igualado.



Un humor bastante bizarro. El contexto es post-apocalíptico, chistes anglosajones dignos de dos culturas que comparten argots (escrito por un británico y desde perspectiva australiana). Tremendamente épico, lo tiene todo e incluso se notan las referencias a las canciones de The Monkees en cada diálogo, el trabajo perfecto que junta la mente de Alan Martin y Jamie Hewlett.

El personaje que dio un nuevo aire al cómic indie británico de los '90 ofrecido en su versión definitiva, que viaja de sus primeras historias a los experimentos gráficos finales. Si se suma el añadido de material inédito y numerosos extras, estamos ante un volumen fundamental para conocer y comprender la historieta independiente que cerró el siglo XX. Joyita.

While the artwork is fantastic, I confess that I don't really "get" Tank Girl. It never really makes me laugh, the characters are deliberately shallow and the plots thin excuses for lame gags. Beautiful to look at, hard to read.

No pude terminarlo. El personaje mola mucho, los 4 primeros capítulos (=los 4 cómics que me compré hace 15 años) tienen chicha y son graciosos, y a partir de ahí... prffff. Lo siento pero no.
