Relation To Books Harold's Purple Crayon Treasury

Reader's first met Harold and his purple crayon over forty years ago and instantly fell in love. Now, for the very first time, five magical adventures are together in one volume.

The story begins in Harold and the Purple Crayon. One evening, Harold decides to go on a walk. With his purple crayon, he draws the moon, then a path, then a field, then a forest.

Harold's Fairy Tale is complete with a flying carpet, and a good fairy—all drawn by Harold, of course.

When Harold decides to visit Mars in Harold's Trip to the Sky, he draws himself a rocket ship and returns home just in time for breakfast.

Of course, Harold's Circus isn't like any other circus in the world because Harold has drawn all the characters and then some.

And then there's Harold's ABC, a charming introduction to the alphabet.

The ingenious and imaginative concept behind these stories will intrigue children and keep them completely absorbed as page by page unfolds the dramatic and clever adventures of Harold and the purple crayon.

Harold's Purple Crayon Treasury - Five Adventures With The Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson (1987)

I loved Harold & his purple crayon. It was simple but imaginative and fun. Ill be on the lookout for a copy.

Very cute character and a lovely collection of the series. This was one I "loaned" from a girl in college during a dinner party. She found Harold to be rather inspiring. And I have to agree with her, Harold is a great character with a beautiful imagination. The thing that I think is great about the stories, is that they all involve some form of creative problem solving. Harold in almost every story paints/draws himself into a corner and then has to find a solution out of it using his brain and

love it, still have it

I love this book...every child I've read this book to loves this book... If only we all had a purple crayon to save us from a pickle. I picked up this treasury of Harold at Barnes and Noble.

A great addition to any children's library, this wonderful book has 5 of our lovable Harold stories in it, which I have all reviewed: Harold's ABC Harold's and the Purple Crayon Harold's Fairy Tale Harold's Trip to the Sky Harold's CircusOverall though, you can't go wrong with Harold and his purple crayon. My 3 yr old twins are fascinated that he writes all over his book, because they know they're not allowed to do that. And my 5 yr old loves how he writes and creates his own story on the go and
